Old Wounds, New Friends
(workshop for separated and divorced Catholics)
Holy Spirit Parish
2725 55th Street
San Diego, CA 92105
Phone: (619) 401-6445
More info: www.nacsdc.org/rgn/r14/pdf/Old_Wounds_New_Friends_2008_01_26.pdf
Giovanna DeSanti-Medina is spearheading a workshop for separated and divorced Catholics, the largest outreach effort ever put on by the Divorce Healing Ministry, a peer counseling group that works from the Church of St. Luke. A series of nationally renowned speakers will address issues such as life after divorce, finding lasting love, annulment, infidelity/forgiveness/healing the whole family, and no-court resolution. The event aims to raise awareness that Catholics share the same precipitous divorce rate as the general population. It also serves to quell the misnomer that divorced Catholics are no longer allowed to celebrate their faith or partake in the sacraments. The hope is that this workshop will demonstrate that the Church is here to help those suffering from this difficult life crisis. For more information or to register, contact via the number or website above.
