Title: Help with custody
It has been a long time coming. My wife and I decided to get a divorce even though she would not really talk to me other than tell me she wants to leave me. Think she was surprised when I told her I was going to get a lawyer tomorrow.
Just a little back ground. We have been married just over 9 years this April with two kids 6 and 3. She is a stay at home mom, I use this term loosely. Our house is always a mess. I had a ton of pictures to prove it but they have disappeared from my laptop so all that is gone. She is on several anti-depresent meds but wont go see a doctor. Some how she has gotten a refill without seeing a doctor.
She has now gotten a credit card in my name without telling me, I know I will have to pay for it, and ran it up to $6K. This means I have no choice but to sell her car and she is totally PO'd about this.
I have never ever raised a hand towards my wife or children but she has been calling Women Shelters. I fear that she is going to run with my children because of her sisters advice. There are so many things I could post that she has not done or has done but what I really want to know is how do I find a lawyer that will work for me. I know laws are skewed towards the women but my kids with her alone will not do them any good. She wont even sit down and do homework with my oldest or watch the youngest while I tried to do his homework. I know this is a lot of jumbled stuff but everything came to a head today and I just need some advice in finding a lawyer that work for mens right to have custody of the children.
Thank you.
