The family home was appraised in December 2008/ Renos needed, paint, tape inside of home.
Offer on home 15,000 perhaps more, due to extentive "so called reno's" to the point of unlivable, . Home was not in this condition prior. Believe he will further damage home to lower settlement.
What recourse do I have.

I do not know what your legal rights are. However, you may just need to let it go. It is not easy to be in the situation. I know from experience. Just take care of yourself because you are better than that. Do not let his anger drain your energy. Just a thought.

I'm in a similar situation: I'm still waiting for the X to "RE-FINANCE" so I can get my share of the $$$$. So far, X
has been taking X's time bc X's still living in the home. X had police escort me out, at night, w/only 15 mins. to gather my belongings, and nowhere to go, the same wk X asked for the divorce. I wasn't served. I picked-up the divorce papers myself. The X still claims that X is doing "Renos" too. X blames all or most of the damages on me and my cats (...which I only have one now. I used to have 3). X claims my cats damaged the carpet, therefore the floor is in dyer-need of extensive-repair also. The longer the X stays in the home, the longer the X has time to blame me for all other damages. The X hasn't paid me for anything. Although, I've heard from my family that he took out a $100,000.00 loan on the home just recently.
Where is my $$$$ is what I want to know. I've been living in the streets for the last month. I have no job, no money, no food, and no home. I was told by a neice that I was going to be served and sued for bigamy 2 wks ago. Today, a nephew emails me that I'd better get a lawyer and fight b4 I end up in jail. Supposedly, I'm wanted too for stealing appliances from a home I lived in. The stories just keep getting too weird. All I know is, I'm divorced from the X, I re-married 2 mos. b4 D-day, and I've been homeless since June 2006. Hopefully, something good will happen to me soon bc ever since this f'd-up divorce, it's hard to be happy anymore. Why can't the X just leave me alone already?! X got what X wanted. Also, X stopped paying me $500.00 per mo. when X found out I re-married. That was in Oct. 2008 when X paid the last $500.00 X still had to pay me up until August 2009 as per the divorce document. Unless, I re-married. I did re-marry in Dec. 2007, but I still had no job and neither does my husband. We have both been searching for work since we got together, and the X just keeps looking for us and tormenting me. I've moved around to 9 different places just bc of the X. There's no telling what that vengeful X is capable of doing to us. X is divorced. How can I get the X to leave me and my family alone? X is trying to make my life a living hell. X asked for the divorce and got it. Now, what? I need my $$$$ from the re-fi of the home. Where is it??? I don't know!!! X-monster needs to fade away and never be heard of again.
