“I just moved to Florida and wish to file for a divorce. Does Florida divorce law have a residency requirement?”

The state of Florida does have a residency requirement. It is necessary for a person to reside in the state of Florida at least six (6) months prior to filing a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage.
