Taylor Armstrong’s estranged husband, Russell Armstrong, has died at the age of 47.
And she may have witnessed the discovery of Russell’s dead body on Monday night, August 15.
According to reports, the star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was at Russell’s Los Angeles residence when he was found hanging in his bedroom.
There was no suicide note.
Sources close to Taylor and Russell say that the two had been in contact regularly although they are in the process of divorcing.
Taylor Armstrong has made allegations of spousal abuse.
A representative for Taylor has issued a statement regarding Russell’s suicide. She requests privacy at this time.
They have a five-year-old daughter, Kennedy. Russell also has two sons from a previous marriage.
Ronald Richards, Russell’s attorney, was shocked when he found out about Russell’s death.
He added that Russell didn’t show any outward signs of depression besides being upset about his divorce and its effect on his kids. Although he admitted that Russell’s debt and legal problems, which include a $1.5 million lawsuit for misusing funds and breach of contract by MyMedicalRecords.com, did cause Russell a lot of stress.
In addition, he blamed “Real Housewives” because being thrown into the spotlight didn’t help Russell and Taylor at all. It only added more stress into their lives.
Close friends say that Russell likely broke down because of extreme depression.
He had tremendous financial problems going on these past few months. He was failing in his business, his credit cards weren’t working and he had no money.
Furthermore, the split from Taylor also took a big toll on him.
Sources close to the couple say, it all just added up.
