Ashton Kutcher Files for Divorce from Demi Moore

Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher has filed for divorce from Margin Call’s Demi Moore, and started a new chapter in what may be Hollywood’s longest separation sinceBambi and Bambi 2 (63 years and 178 days for those keeping score).

Indeed, the epic Kutcher-Moore saga started way back in November, 2011. Since then, a variety of rumors have dogged the couple — some claiming that Kutcher cheated on Moore, others claiming that the Cougar Hall of Fame couple were getting back together after bumping into each other at a mutual friend’s birthday party, and most recently, whispers that Moore was holding up the divorce for some undisclosed reason.

However, Moore has reportedly told TMZ that the divorce filing delay was entirely about financial issues, which are now resolved. The statement contradicts rumblings that Kutcher was trying to preserve Moore’s dignity by allowing her to file divorce, instead of him. 

The soon-to-be-ex couple has no children, and divorce papers filed in LA claim that they’ll sort out property rights at a later date.
