Cindy Kennedy says
I have a question. I presently live in another state (which I would rather not say where). My divorce is recently finalized and it was filed as a no contest divorce and basically stated no children…I was forced to do this by my ex. I have pictures of bruises on my arm from him from 1 incident not to mention my kids have sen a lot especially my oldest son who is from another prior marriage. My ex husband has threatened to kill me on several occasions throughout our 15 year relationship (I have him on video saying it). He has continued to do so asking me to file for divorce and not ask for any alimony, child support, pension, stocks or his newly incorporated business he is trying to build so I can keep custody and he won’t have to “DRAG ME THROUGH THE MUD”. I want to leave this state because of him and change my kids names and my own as well as our ss #’s. Can I relocate to another state (NJ) and then ask the court to reconsider my divorce in the state I came from and ask for all those things? He threatened to have me go to jail (he makes up all kinds of insane things) and tells me that he will get full custody of our youngest and only child together (he is a teen now). I am always in fear because he always says he can find me no matter what because of my social security and the fact that he works for the federal government. Can the monetary asking be changed and go back to when the divorce was final?
