Christina Aguilera and Husband Separate

As reported byHelloMagazine.com, pop princess Christina Aguilera may return to being a single genie in a bottle.

The Grammy-winning Aguilera, 29, announced in a statement Tuesday that she and music executive husband, Jordan Bratman, 33, have separated. Her statement also noted that “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.”

It’s unclear whether the next step will be divorce court. The couple have reportedly said that they’ll “see how things go.” Apparently, a recent trip to Italy to try — in the words of a friend — “rekindle their love,” failed to achieve that goal.

Aguilera and Bateman were married in 2005, and have a son, Max, 2.
