Danica Patrick, NASCAR driver, GoDaddy.com spokeshottie, and in some people’s eyes, the best thing to happen to television since the remote control, announced on her Facebook page that she and husband of seven years Paul Hospenthal are divorcing. “I am sad to inform my fans that after seven years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage,” posted Patrick. “This isn’t easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that’s how we will remain moving forward.” There had been rumblings of marital woes for some time, given that Hospenthal often wasn’t in the pit next to Patrick during NASCAR races, as it the case with most racing spouses. However, regardless of how that might have adversely affected life away the track, it apparently hasn’t mattered on it. After 33 Nationwide races this year, Patrick is a very respectable 10th, with an average finish of 18.8, and four top tens. Scantily clad or not, there’s no remote control we know of that can boastthat. |
