Divorcing people who have children have to remember that the children are the assets of the family and that conflict is deadly for these children. If I’ve learned nothing more over the last 22-plus years is that conflict will damage the children and those children who have suffered contentious divorce have paid big prices and those who have had parents who cooperated have come through well and it’s our job to remind our clients of that all the time.
