Court policy requires all divorce cases to be concluded within twelve (12) months. However, a shortage of judges and a raised contentiousness has caused a delay or “backlog” for this timeline and some cases may exceed two years in the court system. Almost 98% of all divorce cases end in settlement and the two percent that go to trial often settle during this process.

Mediation will allow the parties to have a greater participation in their own outcomes. Arbitration provides uninterrupted access to prompt decision making; even a narrowing of the issues is beneficial to both parties
