Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Break-Up

It looks like Selena Gomez will no longer be hitting repeat-peat-peat-peat on her love for Canadian pop wunderkind Justin Bieber. The two poster children for truly shameful Twitter grammar have decided to part ways.

A source told PEOPLE that Gomez, 20, sent Bieber, 18, the I cry, you cry break-up message around Halloween, about a week before the Biebs belted out two songs at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show taping on November 7. It’s unclear whether his not-so-secret chill session with some of the models afterwards — complete with requisite Twitter photos — had anything to do with the break-up.

“She broke up with him about a week ago,” the above-(un)named source told People. “With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It’s not easy but the relationship needed to end.” 

Not to be outdone in the unnamed source department, someone else claiming to know a thing or two about Beimez/Gomeber, another source told US Magazine that “They are (young) … it changes from day to day. Right now it is a break and tomorrow it could be back on knowing them…it’s hard to say how they will end up. Maybe she feels more serious about it this time. We’ll see.”

It’s unclear whether the two will attend the American Music Awards on November 18 in the same entourage. 

If not, we can only hope that their hearts will go on. Or, at least, their tweets.
