If you’re trying to keep up with the Kardashian family, the latest news is that Kris and Bruce Jenner are ready to officially divorce a long period of separation. Kris Jenner, 58, is seeking a legal divorce from her husband on the basis of “irreconcilable differences.”
The reality TV matriarch acknowledged the split from her husband last year, but it was only recently that Kris Jenner confirmed their impending divorce. The couple, who have been married for 23 years and have 2 children together, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday. Until recently, the couple has remained married but living apart, while continuing to work together on the reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” with the rest of their family.
Kris Jenner is reportedly offering Bruce, 64, joint legal and physical custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Kylie. Their eldest daughter, Kendall, is already 18. Interestingly, it seems Kris is determined not to pay any child support to Bruce, as “her petition opposes any spousal support from her to him.”
The Jenner divorce agreement also states that Kris wants to retain ownership of all her jewelry as well as all of her earnings since the couple’s separation on June 1, 2013. The divorce papers, which were attained by a source at Radar, also reveal that the couple plans to divide the rest of their assets and property at a later date.
Kris Jenner is the third Kardashian woman to divorce in the past two years; her daughter Kim finalized her divorced last June, while daughter Khloe has been in the process of divorcing Lamar Odom for the last 6 months.
The mother of Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian, Kris Jenner was famously married to O.J. Simpson’s lawyer, the late Robert Kardashian, before marrying Bruce.
Bruce Jenner first grew to fame for winning the decathlon gold medal in the 1976 Montreal Olympics. It is predicted that his role in the upcoming filming of a new season of the Kardashians’ reality show will be drastically cut back.
