It’s over for LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet. The country star announced in a message to her fans this week that she and Sheremet are getting a divorce.
“After much thoughtful, mutual consideration,” Rimes posted on her website on Tuesday, “Deane [sic] and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable, and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another.
“Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support,” Rimes added. “It is deeply appreciated.”
Rimes separated from dancer Sheremet in July after tabloids revealed her affair with Third Watch and Invasion star Eddie Cibrian, with whom she starred in the TV movie Northern Lights. Cibrian, 36, filed for divorce from his wife of almost eight years, ex-model Brandi Glanville, on August 24. He cited irreconcilable differences.
Rimes and Sheremet married in February 2002.
LeAnn Rimes, who turned 27 last week, is known for such hits as “Blue”, “How Do I Live”, “I Need You”, and “Nothin’ Better to Do”.
