As reported byTMZ.com, Michaela and Tareq Salahi have finalized their divorce. The couple, who shot to international fame (or infamy) in 2009 when they crashed a White House state dinner, appeared together on the reality show Real Housewives of D.C. Their marriage unraveled last year whenMichaelaand Journey guitarist Neal Schoun began seeing each other. A lawsuit filed by Tareq against Schoun for $50 million, in which he claimed that he suffered “physical and emotional harm” due to Michaela’s abandonment of the marriage, was recently settled. The Salahi’s have aprenuptial agreement, which was not contested by either of them. There’s no indication yet as to what Michaela has planned for the future. Tareq has announced his intention to run for Governor of Virginia in 2013. Chances are Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” won’t be played on the campaign bus. |
