It’s only been six months since Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon tied the knot for the second time in their rollercoaster of a relationship, but the couple is preparing, once again, for divorce. The former Baywatch star and Playboy model reportedly filed for divorce from Salomon on July 3, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the catalyst for the split.
This is the second divorce for the unhappy couple, who annulled their previous marriage of two years in 2008. Anderson and Salomon began dating again in October 2013, and were initially very optimistic about getting back together. When they began seeing each other for the second time, Pamela joked with Ellen Degeneres about the on-again relationship: “It’s recycling. No, I’m very happy. We’re happy. He’s a great guy.”
Although Anderson and Salomon do not have children together, she does have two sons with another one of her ex-husbands, Tommy Lee. She was also married to Kid Rock for a brief period in 2006.
A world-class poker player, Salomon recently won $2.8 million in the World Series of Poker, according to TMZ. The massive win reportedly occurred two days before Anderson filed for divorce, meaning she could be eligible to receive a portion of his prize money in the settlement. However, it is not publicly known whether or not the couple had filed a pre-nuptial agreement prior to their January wedding.
At the beginning of July, Anderson posted a lengthy and emotional poem on Facebook, likely as an expression of her grief, confusion and loss in the face of yet another divorce. Fans and critics have voiced mixed responses to both Anderson’s poetry and relationship difficulties.
A representative for Pamela released a statement to People, saying: “We ask the media to please respect Pamela and her family’s privacy during this time.”
