A $1 million settlement isn’t all that shabby, especially for a second divorce from your former ex-spouse. Actress Pamela Anderson recently divorced her on-again, off-again husband Rick Salomon for the second time in the couple’s turbulent relationship and received $1 million in the finalized divorce settlement.
Anderson and Salomon first tied the knot in 2007, but the union was quickly annulled after just two months of marriage. However, they managed to work out their differences enough to attempt married life for a second time and were wed once again in 2013. Although the length of their second marriage did outlast the first, they ended up parting ways in 2014 when Anderson filed for divorce.
Despite the hefty settlement fee Salomon was ordered to pay, he was likely happy to have the divorce over and done with to reduce the pressure he was experiencing from his now ex-wife’s accusations of tax evasion.
TMZ says Salomon’s Nevada residency was being challenged by Anderson, who was claiming that he was a resident of California trying to avoid paying taxes on a sizeable poker win. There are no state taxes in Nevada and Salomon – a professional poker player – had recently taken home $40 million in winnings. However, the couple finalized their divorce at the end of April and Anderson has since backed down from her accusations.
The pair released this joint statement: “Public divorces can be harsh and cruel – we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused – we have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on. There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well.”
Previously, Anderson had been married to musicians Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. Her longest marriage was to Lee with whom she has two sons.
