Track Palin, son of former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has apparently determined that his marriage is on a bridge to nowhere, and is looking to divorce his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson.
Unlike some celebrity couples that have absolutely no business being a celebrity couple, Track and Britta (or Britta and Track, if you wish) are — for the moment, at least — proceeding without any mud slinging, and are in the process of amicably dividing assets and making custody arrangements for their one-year old daughter, Kyla.
And speaking of assets: according to TMZ, Track is steadfast on holding on to his gun collection, valued at $1,000.
Folks who may not be familiar with this particular member of the Palin clan may be excused: Track was deployed in Iraq during Sarah’s Vice Presidential run in 2008, and is said to eschew the spotlight — unlike his sister Bristol, whose universally panned memoirNot Afraid of Life: My Journey So far contains such gems as:
“I’m not going to show my stomach because I have a son at home. And I’m not going to show cleavage because that looks just like a butt crack.”
“Once a note landed on my desk and I carefully unfolded the paper. I gasped when I read what [Levi] had written. Will u be my gurl?”
“I just loved babies—real ones!—like most girls love toys or dolls.”
Just think. Bristol could have been a heartbeat away from being a member of the First Family.
(Or actually, maybe think of something else a bit less disturbing, like having a root canal.) |
