Absolutely. Divorce can be an unwieldy process if you’re doing it on your own. You need some distance between you and your soon-to-be ex, because everything is personal in divorce. You need an attorney who understands the challenges, who understands the procedure, and who can give you that perspective and explain that procedure to you.

Jackson Willis says
I think that a lot of people underestimate the difficulty of the legal proceedings of divorce. If the two parties aren’t agreeing on key issues, you can get tied up in legal issues for a significant amount of time. It can be very hard to lose in a divorce case. normally it means that you are going to be starting a new life without the money you should have to help you. Sometimes it could also mean that you can’t see your kids anymore, or that you can only see them occasionally. I hope that people avoid these issues as much as they can by talking to a good lawyer and being able to put up a good fight in court.
