NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman used to stare down 300 pound linebackers for a living, and somehow managed to survive that to lead his Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl wins in the 1990s. However, his latest scrum may prove to be among the most painful — at least, financially — now that he and wife Rhonda have decided to separate after 10 years of marriage. “This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage we have decided to separate,” Aikman toldThe Dallas Morning News. “We remain deeply committed toour childrenand respectfully ask that you honor our family’s privacy during this period of adjustment.” It’s unclear whether the Dallas couple will take the next step and divorce. Like all states, Texas allows forno-fault divorce, which means that neither Aikman nor his wife need to prove in court that the other caused the marriage to break down. However, in its resolution the court may take into consideration aspects of responsibility or blame. |
